Outfit for a blustery day...

While February is a dark and blustery month, it's just as important as any other time of the year to look good when you go out. The key thing to remember is to think practical when choosing your outfit.

That means coats, cardigans, scarves and hats are the order of the day.

Here's my outfit...

The big cardigan is from Miss Selfridge by way of eBay and was about £7. It's extremely cosy and ties in with the pre-Spring colours in the rest of the outfit - it's perfect for one of those days.

Sensible, stylish boots from TopShop to keep my feet warm (because my feet turn to icicles over Winter) and plain black tights are perfect to have in your wardrobe at this time of year - they go with anything and keep you that little bit warmer.

I like to layer-up when I can and these colours and patterns are a pretty good mix, I think. The scarf is another charity shop find When everything matches it can be a bit too much, but these are a bit different and do the job.

The bag was £4.50 from a local charity shop and I have a sneaking suspicion it belonged to a little old lady at one point, which would be charming. It's nice and compact and over these Winter months it's been my go-to bag. There is very little it doesn't go with.

Cosy, layered and  warm colours, you cannot go wrong for a blustery day!
